Born and raised in Los Angeles my career began in 1978 as a stagehand, I spent a lot of time at ABC Television in Hollywood and NBC Studios in Burbank. Soon I started working as a vacation relief engineer for ABC where I did utility for camera people and eventually worked my way up to camera operator. I worked on shows such as American Bandstand, Soul Train, World News Tonight, ABC Sports, Hour Magazine with Gary Collins, The American Music Awards, and The Emmy’s for Fox Television.
Having studied cinematography at USC and UCLA my travels domestic and abroad as a Director of Photography and Lighting Designer include working on many live broadcasts such as World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, Charles Gibson, and Diane Sawyer in the U.S., Europe, South America, Haiti, China, and Canada, as well as working on live remotes throughout the United States and Europe on Good Morning America with Charles Gibson and Joan Lunden, and several remotes in Hawaii with Soap Talk.
Having done over 6,000 hours of live television for the ABC Television Network I am currently working on various shows and pilots. All of my work consists of working with executive producers, directors, art departments, and post production designing looks, making decisions on which cameras, lenses, and filters to use, as always I look forward to my next adventure.
